Omega is gone and there is no way to locate Tantiss! That is until Crosshair mentions there might be hope with the help of an old enemy… Rampart!
The disgraced, and scapegoated, former Vice Admiral Rampart is currently in an Imperial labour camp on Erebus, which means… it’s time for an extraction episode!
While the extraction plot felt somewhat familiar, it still offered thrilling moments. The standout feature was the breathtaking establishing shots, evoking the essence of Star Wars with their painterly aesthetics.
Omega book-ended the episode, but that was the limit of her involvement this week. The main purpose came right at the end, where she is introduced to the other “specimens”. I feel we shall get more on this in next week’s episode, especially given how this plot has already started with the Emerie-focused episode the other week.
You feel the short runtime of twenty-two minutes, the shortest episode of the season so far. It flies by, and while we have established a lead to Tantiss – albeit by needing to do an additional step, it didn’t feel like there were too many significant moments in the episode. But that’s not always a bad thing!
What this episode will be remembered for are its stunning landscapes, offering a visual feast that surpasses many recent animations.
