We have a brand new trailer for Avengers: Endgame! Are we all ready to get hurt again?

Immediately, the trailer hooks you in with a fantastic visual and audio montage from the early MCU movies and Infinity War. It all tells this amazing story of love and loss in such a beautiful way. It really sets the tone for the rest of the trailer.

I got goosebumps. There were many moments when I felt this chill of excitement, anticipation and also fear. Yet the trailer juggles this darker side with moments that remind you that this is still an Avengers movie. There are going to be lots of jaw dropping moments. In such a serious trailer, they still managed to have Ant-Man jumping off a pencil, which is a fun visual, but still keeping it within overall tone of the trailer. The cinematography is also very on point, and I am very excited to see how heavily this will be a part of the final movie.

Before we breakdown the trailer, make sure you’ve seen it yourself! You can check it out below:

As always we pick out the TOP 5 moments that stood out the most.

5 Things From The Trailer:

Sin City

These opening scenes were a fantastic way to ease you in to the trailer. There is only so much they can show us, without major spoilers, so padding out the trailer in this way was a smart move. But the great thing about this padding is it’s not just filler, it tells it’s own narrative. There is a purpose behind it. It carries a deeper meaning and blends beautifully into the rest of the trailer.

Rocket’s New Ride

We are used to seeing Rocket riding the shoulder of a much taller character, and the visual of Rocket on War Machine works very well. What’s even better, is that he appears to be wearing his comic book blue and red outfit. This is a very nice touch.

Inject Clint To My Veins

I love me a superhero archer. And Hawkeye is no different. Despite being the butt of many jokes and memes, he remains one of my favourite MCU characters. Now with the added prospect of him becoming ‘Ronin’, even the detractors may soon find themselves on the Barton hype train. We are treated to a range of scenes between Clint and Natasha which is a great throwback to their earlier partnership. We assume that Clint’s family were dusted, thus sending him down this more violent path. If anyone can bring him back to the Avengers, it’s Black Widow.

He features heavily in the trailer, so I’m very much hoping this translates into the final movie. He’s also involved with the films best moments of cinematography, the sewer scene in particular was very well shot. The contrast of colours works very well. We also have the scene where he is teaching his daughter how to shoot a bow. While this is probably just an isolated scene, I’m hoping for a deeper meaning, did someone say Young Avengers?

Suit Up

We know time travel is going to play a key role in Endgame. And I’d make an educated guess that they are about to head to the Quantum Realm. This has already been explored in Ant-Man and the Wasp, so fans should already be familiar with the concept. The suit design is also really clean and looks great. This scene also includes a shot of Tony and Nebula with the team. Now, I know some people will immediately take to social media and call this a spoiler. But come on. Did you really think they were going to spend the entire film on a broken spaceship? Come on people.

YAASS

The dynamic between Thor and Captain Marvel has a lot of potential. These two could really play off each other and provide some really strong comedic and BIG moments. This scene in particular was very well executed. Again, It was a comedy spot but it still fit within the serious tone of the trailer. The look Danvers gives Thor at the end could be interpreted in many different ways. Mutual respect, not needing a mans approval, are you for real? Right now you can take from it what you want, but the prospect of these two characters interacting is worth the admission fee alone.

What was your favourite moment from the trailer? Let us know in the comments.
