WandaVision – Episode 7 Review

This review contains spoilers.

What an apt title for this episode. The stylings of Modern Family shift the tone again this week as we watch Wanda lose her grip. The story really steps up a gear and there’s a ridiculously exciting, HUGE twist at the end.

It was Agnes all along!!!!! So many people were suspicious of her and thought she was far more involved that we were lead to believe. And here we have it, Agatha Harkness has been responsible for all the little mishaps we’ve witnessed. Her reveal tops an already brilliantly intense scene as Monica manages to return to the hex and heads to Wanda’s house, unleashing some super powers along the way. Once again, Teyonah is brilliant – practically scene stealing and she’s already got a great superhero stance about her. During a fabulous stand off with Wanda she actually almost talks her round, until Agnes comes along.

The reveal of Agnes’ true identity was delicious. With her own intro where she shows off all her devious dealings it’s just confirmation that Kathryn Hahn is perfect casting. She proudly admits that she killed off Sparky too and then we see that things are about to take a turn for the worst for Wanda. Despite her throwing obstacles in his way, Vision is trying to return home and it would appear the sooner he does, the better!!

I was starting to believe that Mephisto was behind the suspicious goings on, but just because Agatha has been revealed doesn’t mean he’s written out completely. The twins are missing and we know what that could mean.

And if like me, you found yourself wondering where Pietro was this week make sure you wait for the mid credits scene!
